As water utilities explore the potential of AI-powered tools, one question remains at the forefront: how do we do this safely and responsibly? Cybersecurity is no longer a technical requirement – it is a core condition of any responsible AI adoption strategy.
Presented by the Data, Security & Responsible AI Work Group in the Water-AI Nexus Center of Excellence, this webcast brings together federal agencies, water sector security experts, and utility practitioners to examine the cybersecurity landscape utilities are navigating as their systems become more digital and AI-enabled. Participants will hear about current federal priorities and available utility support, the evolving threat environment from water sector security experts, and from utilities themselves on how they are evaluating new tools, building governance frameworks, and managing operational risk. We will use what is shared to shape future guidance and resources, so come prepared to listen, share, and help define what the water sector needs next.
