Operate with Excellence is a course for operators who have recently advanced to a management position or are looking to do so in the future. The course provides students with non-technical skills to successfully advance in the water industry. Designed for working professionals, this course provides the tools you need to produce results and solve increasingly complex problems in the water profession. Class topics include leadership, management, communication, utility finance, diversification & inclusion, and ethics. Courses are taught by senior water professionals and operators, delivered on campus with live-streamed/recorded options online, allowing working operators around the world to begin bridging the gap to management and leadership.

Classes will be taught live, on campus at the University of Colorado Boulder and will be live-streamed via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. Recordings will be shared after each class on the WEF Learning Center.

Class dates are: May 16, May 18, May 23, May 25, May 30, June 1, June 6, June 8. Most classes will be 90 minutes and start at 11:30 ET/10:30 CT/9:30 MT/8:30 PT.

This course is a collaboration between the CU Civil Engineering, Water Engineering & Management (WE&M) program and Water Environment Federation (WEF)
