This session focuses on fundamental and applied research describing how flocculation and granulation impact performance at WRRFs. At the end of this learning module, participants will be able to
- discover whether feast and famine conditions are required for continuous flow aerobic granulation;
- detail how carbon removal only system can be upgraded to a nitrification system by learning from pilot test results that took place in Seattle, LA, DC; and
- determine if aerobic granular sludge can be applicable to facilities with weak and cold wastewater characteristics.
