This session focuses on startup of cold weather granular sludge system and energy savings of a granular sludge SBR compared to conventional activated sludge, focusing on two full scale pilots. At the end of this learning module, participants will be able to
- highlight the results of the aerobic granulation pilot at the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA) and Rock River Water Reclamation District;
- find out whether simultaneous nitrification and denitrification could be maintained across a range of different oxygen levels; and
- explain how WAS Hydrocyclones provide capacity improvements.
