The learning module includes three distinct case studies of how forward-looking and regionally diverse utilities are creating and managing beneficial products from biosolids. Biosolids products derived from THP/Digestion, Drying, and Pyrolysis will be discussed. The case studies include detailed cost and risk-based evaluations that the utilities employed to arrive at and optimize the solids management approaches. At the end of this learning module, participants will be able to discuss successful examples of practical utility-managed biosolids programs that balance cost, public, and regulatory drivers. Participants will also be able to describe digestion configurations, dewatering, and recycle stream management.
