This webcast took place on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM Eastern.

This webcast follows soon after the WERF conference on co-digestion. Highlights from the conference may be incorporated into the program. The webcast will provide operators with key information on anaerobic digestion – the workhorse of current trends in solids management and energy recovery. The webcast will start with Anaerobic Digestion 101 to get everyone viewing thinking with the same vocabulary. Next will be an exciting presentation on co-digestion, getting the most out of your anaerobic digestion process by combining food and other high organic content waste with your waste solids. Then we will look at releasing the power and reducing the volume of anaerobic digestion through thermal hydrolysis prior to digestion. Finally, we will end with evaluating the use of thermophilic digestion for Class A sludge production. These papers will focus on lessons learned during operation of each system and operator information rather than the technical design of the processes.
